All Smiles As Copiague Schools Open Doors For A New Year

Copiague School District welcomed back students with excitement, energy and plenty of smiles on Sept. 2 as they returned to classrooms for the first day of the 2026-27 school year.
From the youngest learners entering kindergarten to high school seniors beginning their final year, students across the district reunited with friends, met their teachers and settled into new classrooms as they embarked on another year of learning and growth.
Faculty and staff were on hand throughout the morning to greet students and ensure a smooth and welcoming start to the school year. At the elementary schools, students eagerly explored their classrooms, connected with classmates and began getting acquainted with their teachers and new routines.
In the middle school and high school, students navigated their schedules, reconnected with friends and looked ahead to the opportunities, activities and experiences that await them throughout the year. As the 2026-27 school year gets underway, the Copiague School District looks forward to a year filled with new discoveries, meaningful connections and countless opportunities for students to learn, lead and succeed.
