As approved by the voters of the district, and outlined in the Copiague School Board of Education Policy 8411, the following distances have been established for student transportation:

 

Students Grades K-6

Students are required to walk a distance of up to three quarters (3/4) of a mile from their home to school.  Students residing A blue button with white text that reads 'FOR DEPARTMENT FORMS CLICK HERE' and a white icon of a stack of papers. Below the button is the text 'CUFSD DOCUMENT DATABASE'.more than three quarters (3/4) of a mile from home to school are entitled to transportation.

 

Students Grades 7-8

Students are required to walk up to one (1) mile from their home to school. Students residing more than one (1) mile from home to school are entitled to transportation.

 

Students Grades 9-12

Students are required to walk up to one and one-half (1 ½) miles from home to school.  Students residing more than one and one-half (1 ½) miles from home to school are entitled to transportation. 

Special Transportation Requests

All Requests Must Be Submitted Annually
