Copiague’s Class Of 2026 Celebrates Commitments

Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School proudly recognized the accomplishments of its seniors during National Decision Day on May 1, honoring members of the Class of 2026 as they finalized their plans for life after graduation.
The high school celebrated the many pathways students will pursue, including higher education, trade schools, military service and entry into the workforce. Seniors marked the occasion by proudly wearing apparel representing their chosen destinations, creating a vibrant display of school spirit and future aspirations throughout the building.
Decision Day serves as a meaningful tradition that highlights the dedication and perseverance of the graduating class. It also reinforces the district’s commitment to preparing students for success beyond high school, regardless of the path they choose.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to take photos, share their plans with peers and teachers, and celebrate their achievements together. The sense of excitement and pride was evident as the Class of 2026 looked ahead to the next chapter of their journeys.
