Deauville Gardens East Kindergartners Celebrate the Season
Kindergarten students at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School started January by engaging in activities focused on the new year and winter season.
By choosing new selections to read from their in-class library, Dr. Pino’s kindergartners celebrated the new year by honoring their individuality and potential. They learned how an important part of growing up is exploring their interests, likes and dislikes, and personalities. The class book collection has helped students discover the joy of being themselves rather than imitating or pretending to be someone else.
In Ms. Key’s class, students read the book “All You Need for a Snowman” by Alice Schertle. Afterward, they brainstormed a list of all the elements needed to create their own snowmen. Students then colored and cut out their own one-of-a-kind snowmen.
