Third graders at Deauville Gardens West Elementary School have been studying ecosystems as part of their science curriculum. Students learned about the various communities of interacting organisms and their physical environment, where everything is connected and dependent on each other for survival. After learning about land-based and water-based ecosystems, they chose one to replicate by creating a poster, diorama or Google slideshow. Students shared their presentations – which included information on weather conditions, locations, interesting facts, animals and plants – with their classmates.
