The Copiague Middle School Builders Club, led by advisor Jodie McLaughlin, held a book collection throughout January to benefit the Book Fairies of Freeport. The non-profit organization is committed to enhancing literacy in the community by collecting upcycled books. Donations are then distributed to schools and organizations in high-need communities. The Builders Club collected, sorted and will deliver gently used books that range from infant to adult level. In total, students filled 10 boxes of more than 400 books.
