Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School recently participated in the Moot Court Competition at the Central Islip Courthouse. Students worked in teams of two, representing both petitioners and respondents, and won both rounds of the competition. “They did an incredible job, and we look forward to competing again next year,” said teacher Stephanie Rafuse. “It was our third year participating with eight other schools from Suffolk County.” The student participants were Scott Coy, Dwight Evans Jr., Dariely de los Santos and Aniya Kearns.
