A Handful of Thanks at Susan E. Wiley
Fifth grade students at Susan E. Wiley Elementary School embarked on a virtual field trip to learn about Veterans Day. Students gathered in the cafeteria to watch an educational video and discuss ways to show their appreciation for veterans. They enthusiastically explored the significance of this day and expressed their gratitude by writing heartfelt cards to veterans.
The fifth graders also took a moment to honor the school’s security guard, Keith Williams, for his service to our country and his commitment to keeping everyone safe at school. Students in each class traced their hand on construction paper to cut and add to a large card celebrating Mr. Williams.
