To better understand the election process, the fourth and fifth graders in Susan E. Wiley Elementary School cast their votes on Nov. 7 to elect their student council officers for the 2024-2025 school year. Each of the candidates created posters or Google Slide presentations to tell students about themselves and why they would be ideal for the position. All candidates running for president, vice president, secretary, historian and treasurer delivered speeches in the school library and pitched their ideas to fellow classmates before the voting began.
