At Susan E. Wiley Elementary School, Deniz Harned’s fifth grade class paired up with Mikaela Sherlock’s first grade class to work on a monster craft and writing activity. As a group, the students listened to the story "Hey, That’s MY Monster!" by Amanda Noll before pairing up to design a monster. With their partner, the students discussed how they wanted their monster to look and what colors to use. Once complete, the students named the monster and worked together on their writing skills to describe its features.
