Kindergarten students in Amanda Bosch and Dayna Clair’s class at Great Neck Road Elementary School recently went on a fall leaf scavenger hunt. Throughout the kindergarten/first grade hallway, letters of the alphabet were hidden in different places on leaves. With their worksheets in hand, students had to find and trace as many letters as possible in a timed period. The activity reinforced their literacy lessons, fine motor skills and kinesthetic learning.
