Combining their study of Black History Month in February with Women’s History Month in March, the fifth graders in Ms. Benavides’ class at Deauville Gardens West Elementary School chose an influential African American woman to research. The fifth graders conducted research both online and in the library before creating their one-page presentations. The projects are now displayed on the hallway bulletin board through March.
