Keeping with tradition, the Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School ceramics classes provided bowls for the annual SOUP-er Bowl event. Held the Friday before Super Bowl, students created bowls in various styles, shapes and sizes. The staff purchased the bowls for $5 and received a choice of delicious soup for lunch. This year, the choices were tomato, chicken noodle, lentil and chili. All proceeds are donated back to support the Eagle’s Nest Food Pantry.
