On Nov. 21, the third graders at Deauville Gardens West Elementary School hosted “Balloons Over Deauville Gardens West,” inspired by the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. The third grade classes read about Tony Sarg, the famous puppeteer behind the balloons. As part of a STEM project, students then designed their own balloons and used Ozobots to code a parade route. Using their knowledge of multiplication arrays, students also created buildings to represent the New York City skyscrapers.
