Fourth grade student-artists in Jeanne Daly’s class at Susan E. Wiley Elementary School recently studied artist Georgia O’Keeffe. They learned that she wanted people to stop and notice all the little things in life. Students were tasked with finding a photo or an object and taking just a small thumbnail of it. The artists then enlarged the thumbnail to make it their own work of art. The artists used mixed media watercolors and oil pastels in their creations.
