The Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School marching band ended their season with a fifth place performance at the Syracuse Carrier Dome on Oct. 31. The band scored an 80.95, their highest score in the past nine years. “It’s been a long road to bring the activity back this year, but it’s been so worth it to share this moment with these kids now,” said band director Eric Dobmeier. “Students overcame the challenges from the past year and even with the adjusted season, they were happy just to participate once again in marching band.”
