Fifth Graders Honor Women’s History Month

In recognition of Women’s History Month, fifth grade students at Deauville Gardens West Elementary School have been researching influential women who have made a lasting impact on history.
Each student selected a notable woman to study, and together the classes explored a wide range of leaders, creators, scientists, athletes and artists. Through their research, students uncovered inspiring stories of perseverance, innovation and leadership, discovering how these women’s achievements have helped shape the world we know today.
Fifth graders concluded the project with a written piece highlighting who their chosen figure is, what she accomplished and why her contributions are significant. The project served as a fun and empowering way for students to strengthen their research and writing skills while celebrating the incredible women who continue to inspire generations.
