Builders Club Shares Love And Laughter
Spreading love throughout the community, members of the Copiague Middle School Builders Club visited Tanner Park Senior Center on Feb. 4 to share time, smiles and Valentine’s cheer. Students spent the morning connecting with seniors through a variety of activities, including crafts, conversation and even showing off their moves on the dance floor. Laughter and friendship filled the room as students and seniors bonded and got to know one another.
To help brighten the upcoming Valentine’s Day, each student hand-delivered a rose to a senior, creating heartfelt moments and meaningful connections. The visit provided students with an opportunity to give back to the community while learning the importance of kindness, empathy and service. Builders Club members were accompanied by advisor Jodie McLaughlin, who helped coordinate the visit and support the students throughout the experience.
