Second Graders Bring Thanksgiving History To Life

Second graders at Susan E. Wiley Elementary School explored Thanksgiving traditions and the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade by designing and crafting their very own parade balloons. After learning how the iconic parade began and how its balloons are created, students applied their creativity to make colorful, festive balloon projects of their own. The celebration culminated in the second annual Wiley Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 25, as students proudly showcased their creations along a parade route around the school. Classmates and staff lined the hallways to cheer them on, making the event a joyful kickoff to the holiday season.
