Second graders at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School have been hard at work during their double-digit addition centers. Students are using a variety of tools — both hands-on and digital — to practice adding larger numbers by regrouping. Through engaging activities, they explore strategies such as tens frames, number lines, fact families, place value blocks and Base 10 blocks through the i-Ready Math online program. Using manipulatives and Chromebooks, students are building confidence, strengthening number sense and developing a deeper understanding of addition.
