Copiague’s Robotics Class: Builders and Coders

Students in the robotics class at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School are learning how to build and program their own robots. Using vex kits, the students begin the building and basic programming at the start of the school year. As the year progresses, the students integrate the sensors into the robot and code them so they measure degrees of rotation. The robots are programmed to travel a certain distance and eventually, as a culminating activity, go through a labyrinth maze and pick up a ball.
