All elementary students in Copiague receive classes weekly in Art, starting at Kindergarten and continuing through 5th grade. The visual arts seek to develop the child’s imagination, nurture skills and teach concepts important for self-expression. The student will discover and explore elements of art and principles of design in artworks and in the surrounding environment. Through these activities, the student will develop essential knowledge and skills that empower the student now and in the future.
