Fourth graders in Mrs. Spizuco’s class at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School are preparing for fifth grade. They are ending the school year learning all about decimals and have been applying their knowledge of fractions with denominators of 10 and 100. The fourth graders worked together to write the equivalent money amount in decimal form using dimes and pennies. Students had fun using pretend money manipulatives to showcase their understanding of fractions and decimals.
