Recognizing those special people in their lives, the first grade classes at Great Neck Road Elementary School held a Mother’s Day celebration on May 9. These guests were invited into the classrooms with the first graders, where they were treated to songs celebrating the holiday. Students each shared why they think their mother is the best. They created works of art especially for their guests and wrote about all the reasons they love their mothers. To close out the celebration, students shared cookies and snacks with the guests.
