Beginner drama students at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School are practicing their scene work on the stage this month under the direction of teacher Sylvia Walsh. The students paired up, researched and developed different characters. The students are learning about method, technique, vocal work and characterization. They began the school year learning about pantomime, improvisation and recently moved to the scene work unit. They are also learning theatrical terminology while developing their characters.
