Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School senior Curtis Doxey recently participated in the regional SkillsUSA competition in Dix Hills. Doxey attends BOCES Career and Technical Education’s welding program. He competed in four different categories and placed first in all of them. This annual competition gives BOCES students the opportunity to compete against other schools from across Long Island in timed technical, trade and leadership contests.
