AP Scholars Shine in Copiague
Students enrolled in Advanced Placement classes at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School achieved high marks both in the classroom and on exams. The College Board recently recognized 63 current seniors and Class of 2019 graduates as Advanced Placement Scholars.
With an average score of at least 4 on all AP exams taken and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams, 2019 graduates Aaron Eng, Abigail Romero and Owen Rosenberg were named National AP Scholars.
Sixteen past and current students were named AP Scholars with Distinction for earning average scores of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. They are: Alfred Barredo, Julia Brzozka, Christopher Canenguez, Jonathan Conlon, Aaron Eng, Jarrett David, Erhumwunse Eghafona, Darlene Ferreira, Melanie Garcia, Nolan Johnson, Marvin Pineda-Lobo, Allison Reyes, Abigail Romero, Owen Rosenberg, Kailee St. Angelo and Argeny Tavarez.
Seven students who received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams were named AP Scholars with Honor. They are: Kiara Bennett, Aleksandra Bugajczyk, Destiny Delacruz, Jocelyn Fernandez, Carolina Gonzalez, Dan Gradica and Henry Molina.
Forty students were named AP Scholars based on earning scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. These students are: Adam Antosiak, Ryan Bott, Jonah Breskin, Jackson Bright, Esdras Canales, Anna Carvajal, Ajhani Carroll, Emely Castillo, Luis Castillo, Ajaz Chaudhry, Jahnay Cuffy, Tineo Dejesus, Rebecca Demonaco, Gabrielle Diegue, Erick Dunn-Archila, Emmanuel Espinal, Jayleen Garcia, Mery Gomez-Herrerra, Catherine Gonzalez, Eleni Gonzalez-Molina, Jeanine Guelee, Austin Loo, Sofia Lounici, Liam Mahabir, Nokib Matubber, Melinda Mercedes, Amy Moskowitz, Aidan Murphy, Austin Nunez, Kriyal Patel, Edinelly Peguero, Blanca Reyes, Carol Rodriguez, Iris Romero, Vinosky Saintil, Andrew Szabo, Justin Taveras, Analise Valdes, Aniyah Woods and Oktay Yildiz.
