Students in the elementary summer program, housed at Susan E. Wiley Elementary School, recently tested their hypothesis of whether store-bought or handmade kites would fly better. The students concluded that the store-bought kites flew better because of wind, and the fact that the handmade kites had no tails and shorter strings. The students learned that both types of kites would’ve flown better if there was a little more wind.
