Second graders in Mr. Bedota and Ms. Strumpf’s class in the district’s elementary summer program are showing off their green thumbs this season. After learning about the parts of the plant, the students created their own garden outside of the Susan E. Wiley Elementary School. The class worked together to create the space, putting down topsoil and planting tomatoes, peppers and various herbs. Each day, the students will tend to the garden and record their findings.
