Copiague School District’s student-athletes who will be continuing their sport at the collegiate level were recognized during a ceremony hosted by the athletic department, coaches and athletic director Pete Cesare on May 15.

Student-athletes Akajia Atkins (girls track, Stony Brook University), Ashley Jean-Raymond (girls cross-country, North Carolina Central University) and Franklin Parra (baseball, San Jacinto College-North) have all signed national letters of intent to continue their sports next fall in college. In addition, several other students have committed to play at the collegiate level. The district congratulates: 

Kyria Moore (girls track, Stony Brook University); Hailey Fiordiliso (field hockey, Molloy College); Taylor Wolf (field hockey, Molloy College); Telisa Washington (soccer, Delaware State University); Rianna Rivera (volleyball, College of Mount Saint Vincent); Jose Acosta Jr. (football, LIU Post); Joshua Lester (baseball, University of New Haven); Giuseppe Dattolo (football, Curry College); and Joseph Gomez (boys track, SUNY Buffalo).
