Theater Students Recognized at BACCA Awards

Following their sensational spring musical performance, theater students at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School earned top recognitions for their production of “Young Frankenstein” at the Babylon Citizen Council on the Arts’ Teen Theater Awards.

For their overall performance, the musical production received the designations of “Outstanding Production Value of a Musical” and “Outstanding Musial.” Individual awards were given to five talented student actors and choreographers. Student-actor David Grinthal received the award for “Outstanding Male Vocal Performance in a Musical,” while fellow actor Kishaar Hodge earned the award for “Outstanding Male Supporting Role in a Musical.” Recognitions were also given to dance captains and assistant choreographers Victoria Kammer, Jenna Langan and Amorelle Pennick.
