The fourth grade student-artists in Ms. Hill’s art class at Deauville Gardens West Elementary School recently learned about the Gyotaku method of printing. The Japanese fish printing technique was used by fisherman to record their catches. The students used rubber fish to print on the paper. For their background, students researched and then drew different types of seaweed and marine life. Lastly, they dipped bottle tops in paint to create the effect of bubbles on their creations.
