Students in Mr. Barresi’s English class at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School have been working on societal essays analyzing three characters from three different books. After reading “Of Mice and Men,” “Flowers for Algernon” and “The Collector of Bedford Street,” the students compared how each character was perceived based on societal norms.
