New Assistant Principal Appointed at High School

Copiague School District has named Kristin Donnelly as an assistant principal at Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School, effective Nov. 15.

Ms. Donnelly was previously employed as a multi-language learner/English language learner instructional coach at the Division of Multi-Language Learners in Brooklyn since 2019. She also worked as peer collaborative teacher from 2015-2019 at Pan-American International High School in Queens. Ms. Donnelly has held various teaching positions since 2007.

Ms. Donnelly holds a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and a Master of Science degree from Hunter College as well as a master’s in educational leadership from Baruch College.

“It is an honor to join the Copiague School District as the newest assistant principal of Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School,” Ms. Donnelly said. “I am excited to celebrate the rich diversity of the students here in Copiague and to work side by side with teachers, staff and administration who are dedicated to supporting all students in realizing their academic, personal and professional goals."
