Third graders in Ms. Masure’s class at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School recently worked on a project to trace their family roots. After learning about the continents in their social studies lesson, students worked with their family members to trace their roots to different continents. They answered questions about whether they had visited the continent, special traditions and celebrations that were unique to their culture including foods, music and holidays. Each student placed a photo of where they were from on the bulletin board outside prior to presenting their work to the class.
