A Thank You to Copiague’s Board of Education

Copiague School District recognized the hard work and dedication of the members of its board of education during its Oct. 18 meeting. The New York State School Board Association designates the week of Oct. 18-22 as School Board Recognition Week.

The recognitions kicked off with a performance by eight select members of the Walter G. O’Connell Copiague High School Madrigal Choir. The Copiague Teaching Aides and Assistants made a donation in the board’s name, while the Copiague clerical unit and the Copiague Association of Supervisors both made donations to the Neil Schweitzer Scholarship Fund. The PTA Council and the Copiague Association of Principals donated funds to the Chris Madder Scholarship Fund, while Copiague Teachers Association donated to a three local food pantries.
