The fifth graders at Deauville Gardens West showed off their creative side and their school pride as they participated in a paint day on June 16. Gathered in the school’s gymnasium, the students followed step by step instructions to draw the district’s mascot, the eagle, on canvas panels. After tracing out the eagle with art teacher Jodie Embleton, the students used acrylic paint to color their eagle and add texture. To celebrate the end of their school year, each student took home their canvas to remember their time at Deauville Gardens West.
