Kindergarten students in Ms. Chaikin’s class at Susan E. Wiley Elementary School had a hands-on lesson in pumpkins this October. Students followed the steps in the flow map to learn how to carve a pumpkin. The students touched the seeds and got to feel the slimy pulp inside. After the pumpkins were turned into jack-o-lanterns, the students created their own pumpkin drawings.
