Inspirational Biography Buddies
The second graders in Ms. Byrnes’ class at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School recently crafted their own “biography buddies.” The class studied people who interested them, either choosing individuals they learned about during Black History Month or Women’s History Month, or any person who inspired them in history. The students then did research, both online and in books, and created biography figures who featured a timeline, five important facts and symbols that represented the person. The students shared their project and presented their biographies to the class.
