Equipped with their walkers, canes and reading glasses, the elementary students – and a few teachers – at Copiague School District made their way to school to celebrate the 100th day of school. Students spent the day engaged in different hands-on learning activities centered around the number 100. The students were challenged to stack 100 cups in a tower and count to 100 using different coins. Kindergartners read books about 100 days and completed writing assignments on what they wanted to be when they were 100. Posters showed off the students’ creative side with unique ways to showcase 100 different items.
