Kindergartners at Deauville Gardens West Elementary School kicked off October with plenty of learning activities. After reading the book “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom,” students in Danielle Jacobs’ class each created their own tree with the letter of their name.

In Briana Mullady’s class, the students are learning about different shapes – such as hexagons and circles – and how to identify them. Students in Marissa Krause’s kindergarten class recently read “The Kissing Hand” and colored their own raccoons for display in the classroom. The class is also learning all about apples, using different adjectives to describe the crunchy treat.
