Good morning, this is Dr. Bannon, superintendent of schools. At approximately 3:30 a.m., a bomb threat was emailed to high school administration. Upon receipt of the email, the Suffolk County Police Department was immediately notified and an investigation began. The high school operated on a two-hour delayed opening while Suffolk PD, the District security team and administration search the building. The building has been determined safe and there was no evidence to substantiate the threat. The high school will resume its day under normal delayed opening procedures. We thank the Suffolk PD, our security department and administration team for their quick action. The safety or our students and staff continues to be our top priority.
