A Virtual Trip to Yellowstone Park

Fifth-grade students from Susan E. Wiley took a virtual field trip across the U.S. when they participated in a Skype session with a park ranger from Yellowstone National Park on Jan. 25.

The students learned many interesting facts about the world’s first national park such as how it has more geysers than anywhere else in the world. It also has iconic and charismatic fauna, plants that rely on fire to reproduce and many other secrets that make it a place of wonder. During the program, students discovered the interwoven nature of the park’s ecology, geology and human history.
