Members of the Copiague Middle School Builders Club, along with adviser Maria Ostrofsky, traveled to Tanner Park Senior Center where they participated in a St. Patrick’s Day celebration with local senior citizens on March 16.

In conjunction with the center’s line dance program, students and seniors showed off some of their best moves while grooving to modern day line dances such as the Cha Cha Slide and the Cupid Shuffle. The seniors also taught the students some new steps as they line danced to traditional Irish folk music.

During the visit, students created and hand-delivered St. Patrick’s Day cards with an artificial rose to the senior citizens.
